A Sydney woman has admitted crashing her car while six times over the legal limit for driving and heavily pregnant.

Ivanka McDonagh, 31, pleaded guilty to driving with high-range PCA at Fairfield Local Court on Monday.

She was handed a 12-month suspended jail sentence, placed on a good behaviour bond for 12 months, disqualified from driving for nine months and ordered to pay a $3,300 fine.

She was also convicted for negligent driving, but no penalty was imposed for that charge.

McDonagh, a psychologist who specialises in helping patients with substance abuse problems, was seven months pregnant when she left her home after an argument with her husband in December last year.

She bought a bottle of wine from a store in Weatherill Park then headed to a nearby park to down the alcohol, 9News reported.

But on the drive home, she lost control of her vehicle and crashed it into several parked cars in a street 500m from where she lived. No one was injured in the crash.

McDonagh’s baby was born healthy two weeks ago.
